How to Use Findably

A step-by-step guide for NDIS participants and service providers to get the most out of the platform.

Getting Started

1

Create Your Account

Click 'Register as Participant' in the top navigation or on the homepage. Fill in your name, email, phone number, location, and state. You'll also set up your NDIS plan management type (self-managed, plan-managed, or NDIA-managed).

💡 Tip: Have your NDIS number handy — you can enter it during registration to help providers identify you.

2

Log In to Your Account

Once registered, log in with your email and password. You'll be directed to your Participant Dashboard where you can manage everything from one place.

3

Complete Your Profile

Go to your Participant Dashboard and click the 'Profile' tab. Add details about your needs, the services you're looking for, and your location. A complete profile helps providers understand your situation before you even contact them.

Finding Providers

4

Browse the Directory

Navigate to the Provider Directory from the top menu. You can search by name or suburb, filter by service type (e.g. Support Coordination, Daily Activities), filter by state, and toggle to show only NDIS-registered providers.

💡 Tip: Providers with a green 'Accepting Clients' badge are ready to take on new participants right now.

5

Use the AI Matching Tools

Not sure where to start? Use 'Find My Match' (AI Provider Matcher) or 'Get Recommendations' (AI Recommender) from the navigation menu. These tools ask you a series of questions about your needs and suggest the most suitable providers.

💡 Tip: The more detail you give the AI, the better your matches will be.

6

View a Provider Profile

Click on any provider card to see their full profile — services offered, location, NDIS registration status, ratings and reviews, certifications, contact details, and availability status.

Connecting with Providers

7

Send an Enquiry

On a provider's profile page, use the Enquiry Form to send a message about your needs. Select the service type you're interested in and describe what support you require. The provider will receive your enquiry and can respond.

8

Request a Connection

Click the 'Request Connection' button on a provider profile to formally initiate a connection. Select the service type you need and include an optional message. This creates a connection request the provider can accept or decline.

💡 Tip: You can track all your connection requests in your Participant Dashboard under the 'Connections' tab.

9

Book an Appointment

Once a provider has availability slots set up, you can book directly from their profile. Select a date, choose an available time slot that matches your required service, add any notes, and confirm the booking.

Managing Your Dashboard

10

Track Your Connections

Your Participant Dashboard shows all connection requests you've made. Each connection displays a 3-step status tracker: Request Sent → Awaiting Response → Completed or Declined. You can see the provider's response at any time.

11

View Upcoming Appointments

The 'Appointments' section of your dashboard shows all your upcoming and past bookings. You can see the date, time, provider, and service type for each appointment.

12

Send & Receive Messages

Once a connection is accepted, you can message the provider directly through the platform's secure messaging system. Go to Dashboard → Messages tab to view all conversations.

13

Manage Service Agreements & Invoices

View and sign service agreements sent by your providers. Access invoices for services delivered. All documents are stored securely in your dashboard.

14

Leave a Review

After receiving a service, go to Dashboard → Reviews tab (or a provider's profile) to submit a star rating and written review. Your feedback helps other participants find great providers.
